Limber your thumbs, dust off that console, and get ready because the Hollywood and Ground Kontrol are bringing you the most epic Tetris night Portland has ever seen. The fun kicks off with some friendly Tetris competition on multiple consoles, and continues with the local premiere of “Ecstasy of Order: The Tetris Masters,” a new documentary that captures the world’s most awesome Tetris players as they prepare for the Classic Tetris World Championship. Finally, we’ll amp up the end of the night with final Tetris rounds on our 50 foot screen, with a chiptunesDJ providing some era-appropriate sounds. We like to think of it as a Tetris sandwich, with a movie as the filling and your skill as the bread.
6:00 – 7:20 – qualifying scores on NES machines in lobby.
7:30 – 9:00 – film screening
9:00 – 9:40 – top 8 seeds from qualifying round battle it out on theater screen using SNES Tetris.
