The August Wilson Red Door Project presents this powerful set of monologues commissioned by The New Black Fest.

In light of the recent police shootings of Mike Brown in Ferguson, Missouri among others, The New Black Fest commissioned 7 emerging black playwrights to write 10-15 monologues that explore their feelings about the well-being of black people in a culture of institutional profiling. Free and open to the public, donations will be accepted at the door. Presented by The August Wilson Red Door Project, committed to changing the racial ecology of Portland through the arts.
