Celebrate the summer. Feel it coming in the air tonight. Michael Mann’s groundbreaking MTV style buddy cop series that helped solidify the era of “neon noir.” This is the original pilot episode where Sonny Crockett and Rico Tubbs first meet as they discover they are both after the same nefarious drug kingpin, a high roller known only to Miami police as “The Columbian.” All the trademark elements are here: the pink and blue pastel lighting, the music video montages, the production value that cost more for one episode than the actual Miami Vice spent in a year. In addition to playing vintage commercials from the 80s we will also be presenting a special showing of “Portland Vice”, a ten minute short spoofing the show by transplanting our cop duo to the chilled out streets of P-town. We encourage all attendees to dress appropriately in outrageous 80′s attire or their best Aloha shirt and yes, wine coolers will be served to complete the experience
