Sound + Vision Fest Presents: Primordial Visions: Musical Projections

Sean Pecknold and Rachel Blumberg collaborate to bring you a night of short films and live improvised film scores. Sean Pecknold is a Portland dwelling human who has creates beautiful films and music videos, including videos for the Fleet Foxes, Beach House, and most currently The Walkmen. He makes both stop motion and live action films, and for this event Sean has chosen a number of his favorite shorts in both mediums.
Rachel Blumberg is a Portland dwelling human who has performed, recorded, and toured with many bands including M.Ward, The Decemberists, Bright Eyes, Norfolk & Western, Laura Gibson, and Michael Hurley, to name a few, and also creates visual art, including paintings, assemblages, illustrations and stop motion music videos. For this event she has assembled a team of musician friends to create live improvised films scores. The musicians include Rachel, Neal Morgan (Joanna Newsome, Bill Callahan), Graeme Gibson (Fruit Bats), Marisa Anderson, Jason Leonard (Loch Lomond), and more.
