On Saturday July 14th at 3:00pm, Cinema Classics presents the Fred Astaire – Ginger Rogers masterpiece Swing Time.
Swing Time (1936) Lucky (Fred Astaire) is tricked into missing his wedding to Margaret, and has to make $25000 to be allowed to marry her. He heads to New York where he run into Penny (Ginger Rogers), a dancing instructor. She and Lucky form a successful dance partnership, but romance is blighted by Lucky’s old attachment to Margaret, and Penny’s attachment to Ricardo, the band leader who won’t play for them to dance together.
