The Grindhouse Film Festival presents an extremely rare 35mm print of this forgotten, counterculture, lovers-on-the-run crime movie. Advance tickets are strongly recommended.

ALOHA, BOBBY AND ROSE (1975):
Bobby (Paul Le Mat) has a ‘68 Camaro and a dead-end job. Rose (Dianne Hull) has a young son and a nowhere life. One night, they meet, fall in love and share a dream of leaving the seedy side of Hollywood for the easy life of Hawaii. But when an innocent prank goes tragically wrong, and they are falsely accused of murder, Bobby and Rose are on the run from the law and for their lives. As they hit the highway just steps ahead of the police, they find the '70s counterculture is rapidly vanishing, and their dream of paradise is just out of their reach. This film was a huge underground hit upon it's release, and was a major influence on future lovers-on-the-run movies including TRUE ROMANCE. Unfortunately, it has since fallen into obscurity.

35mm '70s exploitation trailers before the movie.
