Join us for an evening with Oscar-winning FX artist Chris Walas (THE FLY, GREMLINS) and director Frank Dietz as they celebrate the legacy of Sci-Fi / Horror movie memorabilia legends - Bob and Kathy Burns. Hosted by Portland film curator Greg Hamilton.
Bob and Kathy Burns are best known for their incredible collection of original movie props, housed in their Burbank, California museum, often known as "Bob's Basement." Married for over 50 years, this amazing couple have served as the goodwill ambassadors of fantasy film fandom. For decades they have brought joy to fans throughout the world, by sharing their treasures and experiences with everyone. Featured in the film are Oscar-winning makeup and special FX artists Rick Baker (AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON), Chris Walas (THE FLY), and Dennis Muren (STAR WARS), along with directors Joe Dante (GREMLINS) and John Landis (ANIMAL HOUSE).
