Our collective sense of time inside out: disrupting routines, lengthening days, and obliterating the calendar’s familiar touchstones. It’s the perfect moment to delve into the work of Richard Linklater, the American filmmaker who has spent his career exploring and manipulating the passage of time.
STRAY (2020)
STRAY explores what it means to live as a being without status or security, following three stray dogs as they embark on inconspicuous journeys through Turkish society.
TWO OF US (2020)
Two retired women, Nina and Madeleine, have been secretly in love for decades. An unforeseen event turns their relationship upside down and leads Madeleine’s daughter to gradually unravel the truth about them. Your ticket also grants you access to a pre-recorded, post-film discussion between writer/director Filippo Meneghetti, star Barbara Sukowa, and international film icon Isabelle Huppert.
COLLECTIVE (2020)
COLLECTIVE is an uncompromising look at the impact of investigative journalism at its best. In 2015, a fire at a Bucharest’s club leaves 27 dead and 180 injured. Soon, more burn victims begin dying in hospitals from wounds that were not life-threatening. Then a doctor blows the whistle to a team of investigative journalists. One revelation leads to another as the journalists start to uncover vast health care fraud.

F.T.A. (1972)
In 1971, at the height of the Vietnam War, Jane Fonda and Donald Sutherland toured an anti-war comedy show across Southeast Asia. The F.T.A. tour was highly controversial and was a huge success among stationed soldiers. In spite of positive reviews and business, director Francine Parker’s film version was quickly taken out of circulation due to political pressures and has been difficult to see until this new 4K restoration.
THE INHERITANCE (2020)
After nearly a decade exploring different facets of the African diaspora — and his own place within it — Ephraim Asili makes his feature-length debut with The Inheritance, an astonishing ensemble work set almost entirely within a West Philadelphia house where a community of young, Black artists and activists form a collective.
17 BLOCKS (2019)
In 1999, filmmaker Davy Rothbart met Emmanuel Sanford-Durant and his older brother, Smurf, during a pickup basketball game in Southeast Washington, D.C. Spanning 20 years, this story illuminates a national crisis through one family's deeply personal saga. Made from more than 1,000 hours of footage, it all starts on the street where they lived in 1999, 17 blocks behind the U.S. Capitol.
HEARTWORN HIGHWAYS (1976)
The hard living–and hard partying–lifestyles of outlaw country’s figureheads (Townes Van Zandt, Guy Clark, Steve Young, David Allan Coe, Steve Earle and many others) are played out in this iconic performance documentary that captures radical country artists who rejected the mainstream Nashville music machine in favor of an appreciation for its heritage in folk and bluegrass.
SOME KIND OF HEAVEN (2020)
Explore life inside the palm-tree-lined streets of The Villages, America's largest retirement community in Florida. Behind the gates of this utopia lies a small group of residents–and one interloper–who are unable to find happiness within the community's pre-packaged paradise.

The Hollywood Theatre at Portland International Airport is free and open to the public, showing short films by Oregon filmmakers.
