1992 - The Year in Videos

Series: Re-Run Theater

By 1992, Pandora's Box had been opened politically and musically.  A highly televised case of gross racial injustice sparked fury across the nation and artists responded. Although megastars from the 80s still held their ground, it was now common to hear emerging acts pushing the envelope in terms of sexuality, political unrest, heartache and angst. Music videos were edgier and more intense.  Some became big budget mini movies increasing the importance of skilled directors.

Once again we are squeezing what we can of thirty years ago into just over two hours of hip hop, radio hits and the new wave of punk rock metal fusion. From Soundgarden to Sir Mix a Lot, Annie Lennox to Arrested Development, TLC to Tori Amos and everything in between, you can come as you are, free your mind and the rest will follow.

News clips and movie trailers from the year will play in between videos.
