A Dirty Shame

Series: Mondo Trasho

Celebrating the film’s 15th anniversary, Mondo Trasho returns to the cardinal texts of the High Pope of Trash himself with A DIRTY SHAME in 35mm!

Directed by John Waters, A DIRTY SHAME (2004) casts the legendary Tracey Ullman in a very Divine role as the prudish Sylvia Stickles – who lives a quiet life running a convenience store with her husband (Chris Isaak) until a head injury turns her into an insatiable nymphomaniac! Sylvia soon finds herself leading a sexual revolution in Baltimore with truck driver Ray Ray (Johnny Knoxville) and fighting an ultra-conservative backlash. With an incredible supporting cast including Selma Blair, Suzanne Shepherd, Jackie Hoffman, Patricia Hearst, and the inimitable Mink Stole, A DIRTY SHAME is currently the last studio film by John Waters and takes his brilliant social satire and unabashed vulgarity to hilariously dirty new heights.
