A Mighty Wind

15th Anniversary Screening of the beloved mockumentary, with proceeds going to IRCO (Immigrant & Refugee Community Organization).

A MIGHTY WIND (2003): Upon the death of folk music producer Irving Steinbloom, a memorial concert to celebrate his legacy is planned, with performances by his three most famous acts: The Folksmen, The New Main Street Singers, and Mitch & Mickey. The film follows the three acts as they regroup, rehearse, and return to the stage. Written by Christopher Guest and Eugene Levy, A MIGHTY WIND features unforgettable comedy and musical performances from Catherine O'Hara, Parker Posey, Fred Willard, and Jane Lynch, to name just a few!

Proceeds from this screening will support IRCO and their mission to promote the integration of refugees, immigrants, and the community at large into a self-sufficient, healthy, and inclusive multi-ethnic society. Founded in 1976 by refugees for refugees, IRCO has over 40 years of history and experience working with Portland's refugee and immigrant communities. Their programs help new Oregonians learn English, find jobs, navigate new culture, and build community. With your help, they can do more. For more information, visit IRCO.org.
