Les Blank Celebration

The Les Blank Celebration has returned for its ninth year at the Hollywood Theatre with a full-tilt musical explosion!

Les' legendary feature-length documentary on musical icon Leon Russell is guaranteed to have you dancing in the aisles, and is a great way to celebrate Les’ 86th birthday. Hosted by Les Blank film curator Greg Hamilton.

This documentary captures the music, parties, and other colorful moments at Leon Russell's Oklahoma recording studio from 1972-1974. Full of amazing performances onstage and off, this film wasn't available to the public for 40 years due to creative differences and musical clearances, but was finally released in 2015. It's an amazing portrait of a dynamic performing artist and one of Les' early masterworks.
