AniMayhem OVA Festival

Series: Animayhem

The OVA Festival is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see deepcut anime masterpieces on the big screen!

O.V.A. or Original Video Animation: films and miniseries made for release on home video without screening in theaters or on television.

The first OVA ever made was DALLOS by legendary director Mamoru Oshii (GHOST IN THE SHELL). This set the stage for an industry of experimentation by some of the greatest Anime auteurs in history.

The AniMayhem OVA Festival is a curated marathon of four of the best, most cult-classic, OVA titles to be released throughout the 80’s and 90’s. The films will run between 30 and 60 minutes long each with a short intermission in the middle to break them up. For an hour and a half leading up to the screening, the Hollywood Theatre will turn into a mini anime convention with local artists and vendors selling merchandise.

Vending will start at 5:15pm and the screening will start at 6:30pm.
