TWO FRIENDS: Jane Campion's first feature (a rarely seen made-for-TV movie, based on a screenplay by Helen Garner) takes an unflinching look at the destruction of a friendship between two teen girls. In this debut work, Campion establishes many of the adamantly feminist elements that she builds upon in her subsequent films.
