A rare, awful 35mm print of this 1976 Z movie atrocity!
Following Movie Madness' Videodrone tape swap, we invite you to join us on a journey through director John Leder's American / South Korean co-production of what many consider to be one of the worst films ever made!
A*P*E (one of its many titles) packs some of the most ridiculous special effects, a whole lot of terrible acting and dialogue, kung-fu, and a love(?) story into a blatant cash grab attempt at 1976's KING KONG (starring Jeff Bridges) by releasing only 2 months later.
Expect quality discrepancies in the 35mm print, with numerous splices and varying film stocks, while a 36 foot A*P*E rampages over South Korea chasing down his one true love, played by Growing Pains' Joanna Kerns!
