Call Me By Your Name

Series: Queer Commons Film Festival

Queer Commons returns to keep summer going just a little bit longer with the lush and sensual drama CALL ME BY YOUR NAME.

In the summer of 1983, in the north of Italy, 17-year-old American Elio (Timothée Chalamet) spends his days in his family's 17th century villa lazily transcribing music and flirting with his friend Marzia (Esther Garrel). Elio's lazy summer is disrupted by the arrival of Oliver (Armie Hammer), a 24-year-old grad student tasked with helping Elio's father (Michael Stuhlbarg), an eminent professor. Soon, Elio and Oliver discover the heady beauty of awakening desire over the course of a summer that will alter their lives forever.

Directed by Luca Guadagnino, written by James Ivory, and based on the novel by André Aciman.
