Homebound: A Benefit for SCAFE

Second Chances Are For Everyone is hosting a benefit screening of Homebound , an independent Latino film that tells the story of Richard Lynn, a successful young Latino business professional who returns to his small hometown in Texas to help his dying father. His father insists he take over the family business, a beloved local bar. Haunted by the death of his mother and confronted by his father’s illness, Richard blames the bar for his grief and secretly wants to burn it down. In the process of letting go, he falls in love for the first time with his childhood’s small town and an unlikely woman.

Proceeds from this screening benefit SCAFE: Second Chances are for Everyone, a Portland-based organization that works to reduce the rate of recidivism by providing support services to promote employment, empowerment, and community engagement for men in transition because Second Chances Are For Everyone.
