Children ages 12 and under and students with a student ID get in free at the door.
The International Youth Silent Film Festival Award Show opens with screenings of the top three films from each of the festival's four regional competitions. These films have already won recognition in regional competitions in the our festivals in Australia and the United States. Filmmakers from as far away as Australia will be flying in to attend the show and see their films compete for additional recognition. Filmmakers are all under twenty years old, and use one of seven original musical themes composed for the festival by Nathan Avakian. Mr. Avakian will also perform live, accompanying each film screened on the theatre organ. Our celebrity jurors, some of which will be flying in from Hollywood, California for the event, will be in the audience to see and choose the winner!
