It's Alive (1969) in 16mm

Series: Repressed Cinema

Repressed Cinema presents a rare 16mm print of this film directed by Larry Buchanan (not to be confused with the 1974 Larry Cohen horror film with the same title).

In this sci-fi film, a loony farmer finds a prehistoric monster hiding in a cavern on his land. To feed his newest critter, the farmer kidnaps three people. The three desperately try to escape... Schlockmeister Larry Buchanan's TV movie succeeds in creating an eerie mood with rock bottom low budget constraints which only add to the surreal nature of the film. Do not miss former Disney star Tommy Kirk (Old Yeller, Swiss Family Robinson) as a paleontologist in this bizarre late-night TV monster film-drama. Special oddball preshow material, all on 16mm film!

Underground Comix for sale in the lobby, as usual.
