Denzel Washington stars as the revolutionary Black Nationalist leader. After his childhood is rocked by the murder of his father at the hands of the Ku Klux Klan, Malcolm Little spends his early life as a small-time gangster. While in jail,  he discovers the writings of Elijah Muhammad and, after his release, becomes a minister for the Nation of Islam and a prominent figure in the Civil Rights Movement. Co-starring Angela Bassett and Delroy Lindo.
