Mommie Dearest

A special Mother's Day screening! Based on Christina Crawford's controversial best-selling tell-all novel, and featuring a legendary, powerhouse, off-the-rails performance by Faye Dunaway!

Movie star Joan Crawford (Dunaway) adopts two children, and at first the new family seems happy. But after Joan's attempts at romantic fulfillment go sour and she is fired from her contract with MGM studios, her callous and abusive behavior (and hatred of wire hangers) becomes even more pronounced. Daughter Christina leaves home and takes her first acting role, only to find her mother's presence still overshadowing her.
