A book release party, and 35mm screening of Ishiro Honda's kaiju classic!

ISHIRO HONDA: A LIFE IN FILM, FROM GODZILLA TO KUROSAWA is the first comprehensive biography of the director of GODZILLA, RODAN, MOTHRA and many other classics of Japanese sci-fi cinema. Chronicling Honda's entire career - including his rare dramas, comedies, and war films - the book is written by genre scholars Steve Ryfle and Ed Godziszewski and includes a foreword by Martin Scorsese. The authors will be present to introduce the film, and books will be available for sale and signing.

MOTHRA (1961): A giant larva is worshiped by island tribesmen and guarded by twin sisters who stand only a few inches high. Eventually, the larva metamorphoses into a giant female moth and panic ensues as the creature attempts to regain her stolen egg and her tiny protectors.
