Nicholas Brothers: Hot in Harlem

Local film archivist Dennis Nyback presents this special 16mm program!

Harold and Fayard Nicholas began appearing as featured dancers in 1932 at the Cotton Club in Harlem, New York, when Fayard was eighteen and Harold was eleven.  They went from there to Hollywood and Broadway.  They were honored at Kennedy Center in 1991.  In 1992 they appeared at the White House.  They have to be seen to be believed. This program features them in films from 1932 to 1943.  Appearing with them will be Eubie Blake, Cab Calloway, Glenn Miller, Bill Bojangles Robinson, Lena Horne, Nina Mae McKinney, Dorothy Dandridge, and many others.
