NW Animation Fest - Shorts 1

Immerse yourself in the world's best animated films. Our weekend-long international showcase kicks off with 35 amazing shorts, selected from over 800 submissions. Here's some of what you'll see: African cheetahs, flamingos, and zebras that are inexplicably inflated like balloon animals struggle hilariously to live their ordinary lives. Kali the little vampire watches our world enviously from the shadows, stealing trinkets from careless children and yearning to join them. A pirate captain enters the Kingdom of the Dead and falls madly in love with a bewitching queen—but can he win her heart? Our featured film for this year's festival, Premier Automne, is an astonishingly beautiful story about the first meeting of two children in a magical woods: one a child of summer, the other a child of winter.

(Includes 35 films. Two intermissions. Some mature themes.)
