DRUNKTOWN'S FINEST (2014) 95min

DRUNKTOWN'S FINEST was accepted to the Sundance Film Festival in December of 2013 and premiered at the festival in January. The film has screened at over twenty festivals since its 2014 world premiere, including the prestigious Sundance London Film and Music Festival. The critical response has been largely positive both at home and abroad.

The feature film will be preceded by two short films:

HUY HUY - 2014  (5:05 min) Director: Sky Hopinka (Ho-Chunk)

A deal between two men threatens to unravel as tensions rise in this contemporary look at indigenous language and culture. Set in Portland, Oregon, one man comes from a lower, working class, and is at the beck and call of the other man, who lives in more privileged comfort.

THE MIDNITE MINE - 2014 (7:25 min) Director: Jeff Ferguson (Spokane)

This video was created to raise awareness to The Midnite Uranium Mine on the Spokane Indian Reservation. This is an open pit mine that has been left open with exposed radioactive ore throughout the site since 1981. The EPA has declared this a “superfund” cleanup site however, it still have yet to be cleaned up and continues to contaminate the land, the animals and the people of the Spokane Reservation.
