Silent Night, Deadly Night in 35mm

Series: Grindhouse Film Festival

The Grindhouse Film Festival presents the annual 35mm screening of this 1984 Christmas slasher!

When a young boy's parents are murdered on Christmas Eve by a man dressed as Santa Claus, he develops a lifelong hatred of Old St. Nick. He then spends the rest of his childhood in an orphanage run by a mean, overbearing nun. As a grown man, he's finally pushed over the edge when he's forced to be a department store Santa. Now as an axe-wielding maniac in a Santa suit, he sets out to punish all who are naughty this Christmas Eve. Classic scenes include the sledding beheading, the toy store montage, and crazy Grandpa terrifying little Billy with his tales of a rampaging killer Santa Claus.
