Fifty-five years ago, THE most influential Science Fiction TV series of all time was launched on NBC primetime and soon people everywhere were reciting the iconic words: “Space…the final frontier. These are the voyages of the Starship Enterprise…”
We are commemorating that grand event with two classic episodes from the original 1960s show: “Where No Man Has Gone Before” which was the first episode produced to feature Captain Kirk, Mr. Spock, Lt. Sulu and Chief Engineer Scotty working together. It also stars veteran sci fi actor Gary Lockwood as one of Star Trek’s most infamous villains. Then comes the third season episode “Day of the Dove” which has everything Star Trek should have: The full cast (including Dr. McCoy, Lt. Uhura and Chekov), Klingons, a powerful, predatory energy being and lots of swashbuckling action!
Vintage 60s and early 70s ads will be played during the breaks.
