Dario Argento, whose name is synonymous with the genre, directs this groundbreaking giallo. An American writer is living in Rome with his girlfriend. While visiting an art gallery, he witnesses a murder attempt by a mysterious figure. As the assailant is believed to be an infamous serial killer, he quickly becomes a key witness in the ongoing police investigation. After he begins searching for clues that may help him identify the killer, he discovers that he and his girlfriend may be the next intended victims. Featuring stunning cinematography by Vittorio Storaro ( The Conformist, Apocalypse Now ) and a phenomenal soundtrack by maestro Ennio Morricone.
