The Hollywood Theatre pays homage to Italy's Lina Wertmüller (1928 - 2021)—the first female director nominated for an Academy Award for Best Director, in 1977—with her blistering satire THE SEDUCTION OF MIMI on its 50th anniversary!

Giancarlo Giannini (LOVE AND ANARCHY, SWEPT AWAY) stars as the titular Mimi, a Sicilian dockworker who loses his job and leaves his wife after voting against a Mafia kingpin, before starting an affair with a Communist organizer and plotting his revenge along the way. A dramatic farce, THE SEDUCTION OF MIMI takes aim at corruption in government and the sexual politics of men in power.
