The Shape of Story
is an interactive screening focused on the subject of gun rights. This Design Week Portland event will feature short films exploring the many sides of the issue, contributed by University of Oregon's Multimedia Journalism master's program, Oregon Public Broadcasting, The Oregonian, Periscopic and filmmaker Skye Fitzgerald. A new, smartphone-enabled web application created by Second Story will be used to gather audience feedback and facilitate dialogue. Dave Miller, host of OPB's
Think Out Loud,
will moderate a discussion and Q&A with the filmmakers after the presentation.
Parts of the evening may not be suitable for children.
All proceeds from this event will go to the Hollywood Theatre.
The Hollywood Theatre prohibits weapons of any kind from entering the premises.
