Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me

Series: Fashion in Film

Fashion in Film presents one of the only films to ever be called both a prequel AND a sequel with information about before and after the famous television series, the 1992 David Lynch directed TWIN PEAKS: FIRE WALK WITH ME chronicles the seven days leading up to the notorious death of Laura Palmer. It begins in our own backyard when Lynch (returning as FBI bigwig Gordon Cole) sends agents Chester Desmond (Chris Isaak) and Sam Stanley (Kiefer Sutherland) to investigate a suspicious murder in the town of Deer Meadow, Oregon. That event triggers a landslide of classic Lynch characters and weirdo shenanigans that includes many of our beloved Peaks series characters like Kyle MacLachlan as Agent Dale Cooper, the one armed shoe salesman, the creepy Ray Wise as Leland Palmer, and the even creepier Bob. Oh, and FBI Agent Phillip Jeffries, played by a fella named DAVID FREAKING BOWIE. It all comes together in a brilliant, confusing, eye-catching two hours.

Fashion in Film is curated by Portland Monthly Style Editor Eden Dawn and founder of the Mercury’s Sold Out fashion column, Marjorie Skinner. Together they show films that influenced their style careers and closets.
