Series: The Portland EcoFilm Festival

Saturday, September 26  |  FREE outdoor screening at Sellwood Waterfront Park
Event start: 5:00pm; Film start: 7:00pm

The Portland EcoFilm Festival is proud to partner with Portland Parks and Recreation for the Portland premiere of UPRIVER, screening outdoors in the beautiful Sellwood Riverfront Park!

Home to roughly two-thirds of all Oregonians, the Willamette River system has endured a history of human use and abuse similar to most large river systems. UPRIVER, a locally-produced feature-length documentary, explores the recent movement of Oregonians from all walks of life to improve the health of the river and the diverse life it supports and provides a new look at what this river is, where it comes from, and where it's going.

At 5:00pm, there will be live music and free river paddling, and the first 200 attendees will receive free burritos from our Festival Founding Sponsor Chipotle Mexican Grill!  At 7:00pm, the film begins, with the filmmakers of Freshwaters Illustrated in attendance. Come on out and support our river!

Community partners: Portland Parks and Recreation; Willamette Riverkeeper; Human Access Project; Meyer Memorial Trust; City of Portland Environmental Services; and Alder Creek Kayak, Canoe, SUP and Raft
