In honor of the Hollywood Theatre's 89th birthday on July 17, we proudly present Alfred Hitchcock's 1958 classic VERTIGO, starring James Stewart and Kim Novak, in 70mm!

VERTIGO (1958):  John "Scottie" Ferguson (James Stewart, in his fourth and final Hitchcock collaboration) is a former San Francisco police detective whose crippling acrophobia forces him to retire.  An old college friend, Gavin Elster, asks him to look into his wife Madeleine's activities.  Madeleine, it seems, believes she is the reincarnation of a woman who died many years ago, and her husband fears for both her sanity and her safety.  After following Madeleine around the city for several days and rescuing her from a failed suicide attempt, Scottie can no longer keep his distance and becomes dangerously obsessed with her...but is Madeleine who he thinks she is?

Presented in 70mm! With a greater aspect ratio and higher resolution than 35mm film, 70mm imagery is sharper, richer, more immersive—the ultimate in film projection.  The Hollywood Theatre is the only film venue in the state of Oregon, and one of a handful in the country, able to screen on 70mm.  Trust us, you don't want to miss the chance to see this classic Hitchcock thriller on the big screen in the most premium film format in existence!
