Based on Brian Selznick’s critically acclaimed novel Ben and Rose are children from two different eras who secretly wish their lives were different. Ben longs for the father he has never known, while Rose dreams of a mysterious actress whose life she chronicles in a scrapbook. Both children set out on quests to find what they are missing in stories that unfold with mesmerizing symmetry.

This premiere screening will benefit the nonprofit Tucker Maxon School in SE Portland which co-enrolls hearing and deaf children together. All proceeds from the event will help provide financial aid to deaf children whose families cannot afford tuition. (Tickets are tax-deductible less $9 for VIP and GA and $6 for members)
