Black Jack is an unlicensed surgical genius, the doctor you call if all else fails. He operates outside the law and traditional medical institutions, but has made a name for himself as a talented renegade surgeon.
During the Olympics it becomes clear that a new phenomenon of super humans has swept the world, many of which taking home gold medals. These super humans all develop a mysterious disease which takes their life shortly after. This disease, coined the “Moira Syndrome” after the Greek goddess of destiny, seems to be the source of their extraordinary abilities as well as their untimely deaths.
After Black Jack’s assistant/daughter is kidnapped by a mysterious medical group researching the Moira Syndrome he finds himself forced into experimental research of super humans. He must discover the cure to Moira Syndrome as well as uncover the truth behind its sudden emergence.
Japanese bookstore, Kinokuniya, will help us celebrate the film with a market of Osamu Tezuka manga before the show!
