Intro to Modern Korean Cinema

Intro to Modern Korean Cinema
Korean Cinema has flourished and captured international audiences since the late-1990s. In this class, we’ll touch on the historical, political, and societal changes that influenced modern Korean filmmaking.

We’ll explore a cross-section of Korean films including a melodrama, an indie hit by a female director, an arthouse auteur’s work, and an early success by the director of Oldboy.
