For our May Extra Credit! screening, we’re proud to present JUNO (2007), directed by Jason Reitman and written by Diablo Cody. Before the film, Gareth Smith and Jenny Lee, the design & filmmaking duo who created the delightfully unique opening credits for the film, will give a presentation on the creative process which led to the memorable sequence.
JUNO (2007) Elliot Page stars as the title character, Juno MacGuff, a socially awkward 16-year old, who finds herself unexpectedly pregnant by her close friend Paulie Bleeker, played by Michael Cera. Refusing to terminate the pregnancy, Juno locates a couple who are willing to adopt, but as she’s drawn further into their lives, she begins to question her decision. Co-starring Jennifer Garner, Jason Bateman, Allison Janney and J.K. Simmons.
