LONELY ARE THE BRAVE (1962) Kirk Douglas stars as “Jack” Burns, a fiercely independent cowboy on a collision course with the modern world. David Miller directs an all-star cast including Walter Matthau, Gena Rowlands, George Kennedy and Carol O’Connor with a script by Dalton Trumbo, whom Douglas hired in direct defiance of the Hollywood blacklist.
