MMU Crash Course: Play the Classic(s) Kaiju

MMU Crash Course: Play the Classic(s) Kaiju

Join us for the building blocks of a giant lizard-made film dynasty! In this Crash Course, we’ll explore the films, people and creatures that contributed to the Kaiju boom in the 1950s & 60s! So find shelter and get ready to explore the Kaiju mania that took over the world!

MMU Crash Course classes offer a low-intensity way to explore a filmmaker or genre, in a friendly environment shared with fellow film lovers. Unlike our MMU seminars, Crash Courses offer a more casual approach. There’s no formal lecture or discussion, but films are curated and presented by staff experts.

Films:
3/6: Godzilla (1954)
3/13: Frankenstein vs. Baragon (1965)
3/20: Gamera The invincible (1966)
3/27: Rodan (1956)

This class is taught by Cole Sorenson, a Movie Madness staffer and Kaiju enthusiast.

Films will be screened at the Movie Madness Miniplex.  Classes will begin on Wednesday, March 6th, and be held each Wednesday through the 27th, at 6:30pm.

Class size will be limited to 18.
