For our spring installment of Food and Film, we’re thrilled to be screening beloved Ramen Western TAMPOPO. Translating to ‘dandelion’ in Japanese, Juzo Itami’s culinary film favorite has beguiled film fans for nearly 40 years with everything from tussling truckers to tantalizing tales of ramen mastery, and plenty of steamy slurps in between.
It’s truly impossible to watch Tampopo without succumbing to a need for noodles, and that’s why we are hosting a VIP afterparty with our friends, Vivienne Culinary Books and Eno Wine. The Noodle Party kicks off at 8:30 p.m. and admission includes a ticket to the screening, a welcome drink and a line up of small plates (and bowls!) inspired by Tampopo at Vivienne Culinary Books’ new location at 2724 NE Alberta Street. Additional wine and sake by the glass will be available for purchase along with a private shopping event, 15% all new books. We are not able to accommodate dietary restrictions for this event. VIP tickets are $52 general admission, and $47 for Hollywood Theatre Members.
In general, the Hollywood Theatre does not provide content advisories about the subject matter shown in our theatre. Films exhibited don't necessarily reflect the views of the Hollywood Theatre. Information about content and age-appropriateness for specific films can be found on Common Sense Media and DoesTheDogDie.com.
