In honor of the late great Val Kilmer we’ll be taking a look at one of his most iconic roles in the western classic TOMBSTONE (1993, 134 min). Reality, legend, and folklore all coalesce to create this “based on a true-story” odyssey. In this class, we’ll learn about the tumultuous making of the film, how close it is to actual historical events, and where its legacy stands today.
This class will be taught by MMU instructor Kia Anne Geraths, a filmmaker and educator. Some of her previous classes include her WTF Was That?! Series, Women Directors in Horror, and Arthouse Horror: Origins.
Class size will be limited to 18.
