Join us for a special benefit screening with NXT LVL PDX! Learn about NXT LVL’s work and hear from collective members. NXT LVL is a collective of womxn who throw parties and events to raise money and awareness for social justice via solidarity economy. A portion of the proceeds from this event will support Trans Lifeline. 

TANGERINE (2015): Transgender sex worker Sin-Dee Rella, who has just finished a 28-day prison sentence, meets her friend Alexandra, another trans sex worker, at a donut shop in Hollywood on Christmas Eve. Alexandra accidentally reveals that Sin-Dee's boyfriend and pimp Chester has been cheating on her with a cisgender woman. Sin-Dee storms out to search the neighborhood for Chester and the woman… This film was shot exclusively on three iPhone 5s smartphones.

TANGERINE will be followed be a presentation of the short film KAUAI,  about two best friends taking a trip together after one severely disconnects from her family, while building a friendship that gives a new meaning to the term "chosen family." 

Attendees are encouraged to bring a new unopened package of tampons/pads/panty liners/etc for donation to the Portland Menstrual Society. Anyone who donates will receive a NXT LVL PDX sticker or button!Â
