MYSTICS IN BALI (1981): Join us for a special Witches’ Night screening of this Indonesian horror classic directed by cult filmmaker H. Tjut Djalil (yes, he of LADY TERMINATOR infamy)! MYSTICS IN BALI tells the astonishing tale of a western woman who travels to Bali to research Southeast Asian black magic. Naturally, things take a terrible turn for the worse when her boyfriend assists her in meeting a cackling witch who magically inscribes her thigh with a mystical symbol and precipitates a gory initiation into the occult secrets of the Leák. Be forewarned. The Leák is a mythological creature torn from Balinese folklore and depicted as a disembodied head with entrails dangling from what remains of its bloody neck. Unfolding as something of a less mean spirited THE EVIL DEAD, we assure you…MYSTICS IN BALI is a joyride like nothing you have ever experienced!
