In partnership with the Hollywood Theatre’s Feminist March programming, NARAL Pro-Choice Oregon is proud to co-present the acclaimed OBVIOUS CHILD starring comedy revelation Jenny Slate.
2014’s OBVIOUS CHILD follows Donna Stern (Jenny Slate), a twenty-something stand-up comic who finds herself living with an unplanned pregnancy after a drunken one-night stand with Max (Jake Lacy) following a sudden breakup. In making this unconventional and sincere romantic comedy, director Gillian Robespierre set out to remove the stigma surrounding abortion and to course-correct previous films addressing unplanned pregnancies – and the celebrated OBVIOUS CHILD does so with honesty, realism, and a lot of laughs.
