SCARFACE (1932) Considered to be one of the most violent films of its era, Paul Muni stars as Tony Camonte, a ruthless and ambitious Chicago gangster who shoots and kills his way to becoming king of the city, while also trying to keep his family safe from his life in the underworld. Co-starring Karen Morley, Ann Dvorak, Boris Karloff, and George Raft. Produced by Howard Hughes and directed by Howard Hawks, this film was famously remade by Brian De Palma and Al Pacino in 1983.
