A celebration of the life of Arthur Russell and the release of Richard King's book Travels Over Feeling.
One of the 20th century’s true musical visionaries Arthur Russell (1951 – 1992) was a cellist, vocalist and composer known for his fusion of classical and popular music including Disco, folk, and rock. Before his death from AIDS in 1992 Arthur defied genre and consistently challenged our expectations of what pop music could be.
If you know his work, this event will be a chance to take a deep  dive and hear his music resonate on the excellent sound system at The Hollywood Theatre.
If you're not familiar with Arthur, this event will be an excellent introduction to one of the 20th century's greatest artists.
