God’s Own Country

God’s Own Country
Thank God It's Queer goes to GOD'S OWN COUNTRY (2017) starring reigning matinee idol Josh O'Connor (CHALLENGERS)! O'Connor plays Johnny, a binge drinking young farmer who lives a rough and stunted life caring for his father, grandmother, and their farm, when he isn't seeking fleeting encounters with other men. But when Gheorge (Alec Secareanu), a Romanian migrant worker, comes to the farm, Johnny finds his internalized homophobia and bigotry challenged—and discovers a capacity for tenderness (and goat cheese) that will forever change their lives. Co-starring Gemma Jones and Ian Hart, GOD'S OWN COUNTRY depicts a rare, heartfelt, and transformative romance.
