Travel back to a mythical land known as Old Portland with Gus Van Sant’s
breakthrough 1989 film about a gang of pharmacy bandits on a road to
nowhere. Matt Dillon, Kelly Lynch, Heather Graham, James LeGros, and a
host of vanished Rose City streetscapes star in this acclaimed, darkly
comic tale based on James Fogle’s novel. Presented by the Portland
Critics Association, this 35mm screening will be followed by a Q&A
session moderated by members of the PCA and featuring novelist and
screenwriter Jon Raymond plus a surprise appearance from a member of the
film’s cast.
