Hollywood Film District Capital Campaign
The Hollywood Film District campaign will create a one-of-a-kind film district in NE Portland.
We are excited to move forward with the first stage of implementation—relocating Movie Madness to a new expanded site, located right across Sandy Boulevard from the Hollywood Theatre. The new Movie Madness site will allow easier access to one of the world’s leading video archives. The design features a special screening room and lounge for gatherings of movie lovers.
Later phases of the Hollywood Film District campaign will improve our beloved Hollywood Theatre building, which has entertained film lovers since 1926.

Two Film District Anchors
Movie Madness
Build out a new, expanded site across Sandy Boulevard from the Hollywood Theatre. Plans include a 45-seat state-of-the-art auditorium and lounge for gatherings of movie lovers.
Hollywood Theatre
Renovate the existing movie palace with sustainable infrastructure; modernized bathrooms throughout; improved accessibility (including ADA restrooms on the ground floor); and new seats, carpet, and lighting.
