TGIQ celebrates 30 years of I SHOT ANDY WARHOL (1996), now restored in 4K! The feature debut of director Mary Harron (AMERICAN PSYCHO), I SHOT ANDY WARHOL follows radical queer feminist, satirist, and playwright Valerie Solanas (Lili Taylor). She spends her time in the Village writing the SCUM Manifesto and staging readings of her play with Candy Darling (Stephen Dorff), until she meets Andy Warhol (Jared Harris) and the Factory. But when Warhol begins to toy with Valerie and her work, his mistreatment—on top of a life of it—pushes her to the brink in an explosive confrontation that will forever change the face of Pop Art. Co-starring Martha Plimpton and featuring a score by the Velvet Underground's John Cale, I SHOT ANDY WARHOL tells a crucial story about one of queer history's most misunderstood minds.
